Active membership

Every natural person who exercises the profession of a private investigator independently for at least two years or any equivalent occupation, who is Swiss or has a valid licence of residence permission (type C), who enjoys a good reputation, whose private residence and business domicile is in Switzerland and who has passed the examination of legal attainments, is able to become an active member. Every active member has the right to vote.

Passive membership

Every natural person who is Swiss or has a valid residence permission (type C) and whose private residenceis in Switzerland, is able to become a passive member. A passive member is not entitled to vote but has the right to have a say.

Passive members who are voted into the executive board have the same voting power as active members.

Passive members are not allowed to promote their membership with the media or any other means.

overseas membership

Every natural or juridical person who is domiciled abroad and who exercises the profession of a private investigator or any equivalent occupation independently and who is either a member of a local, national association of detectives or the IKD will be admitted as a foreign member. Foreign members are not entitled to vote but have the right to have a say. Furthermore, foreign members are invited to the general meeting and are informed regularly about internal matters of the association and are entitled to promote their membership to the FSPD with the media or any other means.
